I began working as a career agent with an insurance company in May of 2005. Like the vast majority of new agents I was led to believe that I would be making lots of money in the first year I came aboard with the company. Like most people I found this not to be possible. As time passed I learned that I did enjoy the work I did. The frustration was that though I enjoyed what I did, I was scraping by income wise, and I could not trust the management from the division I was in.
Promises managers made, such as not recruiting other agents in my area were broken. Commissions were a major concern because I did not understand exactly how the payments were structured. When I would go for help concerning this issue or any other issue I left more confused than I did going in. These are just a few of the many frustrations I had as a new agent in the business. Come to find out many agents go through the same problems I have encountered.

As I journeyed from one division office to another looking for the tutelage to get where I wanted to be in the insurance field, finally I was introduced to Jerry Stratton. It took me a while to finally call Jerry for an interview because at this point I was ready to call it quits. I had been “beaten up” so to speak to the point I figured it would be more of the same. I couldn’t have been more wrong.

When I met Jerry I knew right away he was different from anyone else I encountered in this business. I decided to join the Alliance Group in July of 2006. Since coming on board my productivity as an agent has tripled. Reason for this is simple. I now had people around me I could trust and that were knowledgeable about the business. The concerns I had earlier in my career are not an issue now. The Alliance Group makes sure their agents have enough warm leads to make them productive and able to earn a real income, compared to other marketing companies who promise the world but never come through. What separates the Alliance Group from the rest is the fact that everything they have promised me, they have delivered. I was provided a week of training in Atlanta that delivered more knowledge about the business than I had received the previous year with the insurance company. I am very happy to be a part of the Alliance Group and if you have had an experience like mine then give the Alliance Group a chance to deliver you a real career in the insurance industry.

Since I graduated from college in 1998, I’ve been all over the place in terms of employment. I held coveted positions in television, internet and print advertising as well as multiple sales positions spanning multiple industries.

I always managed to earn a very decent salary – however, I wasn’t happy with the lack of freedom and control. I also never felt a PART of something.
